Album: Lightning in Santa Fe 2007 I was in Santa Fe for the CEDAR (Coupled Energetics and Dynamics of Atmospheric Regions) Workshop from 24-28 June 2007. On Wednesday night, we were treated to a great Southwest thunderstorm. I was pretty pleased with the quality using a Nikon CoolPix 3200 point-and-shoot in the "fireworks" mode. Last change: 04/08/08

Album: Mexico 2007 I had a conference (AGU Joint Assembly) in Acapulco in May 2007. Sarah came along part way through the week. We stopped in Mexico City on the way home. Album: Maui 2008 On Monday, Jonathan (my advisor) said, "How would you like to go to Hawaii?" On Tuesday, he said, "How soon can you go to Hawaii?" On Wednesday, we were requesting permission for Monday. On Friday, I bought my tickets. On Monday, I was on Maui. It was actually a lot of hard work that's still not completed even though I've left. Album: Crete 2008 Every three or four years, the International Symposium on Equatorial Aeronomy (that's the technical term for what I do) meets. The meetings tend to be off the beaten path, usually in locations that are involved with aeronomy. In May 2008, the meeting was on the Greek island of Crete. Since it was a meeting, I didn't have a lot of time to explore Crete and many of the pictures were taken from the road. However, Sarah got to explore some more. Last change: 05/29/08
